It was with great disgust that I read the Boing Boing entry about the Canadian Red Cross going after video game companies over use of a red cross on med packs in various video games. The mere fact that a charitable organization, whose primary existence is to help humanity, would waste it’s money (make that MY money) and efforts on frivolous lawsuits normally left to major corporations afraid of being beat by the competition. They don’t have a brand that needs protecting (though neither did the WWF, but look what happened there). I’ll remember to bring my donations elsewhere the next time thousands of people are dead and dying. It’s clear the Red Cross doesn’t give a damn anymore.

Seriously? Wow…
I guess all the humanitarian problems are cured our there, so the Red Cross can spend time protecting its name from evil people like video games companies.
Update #2 is wrong. The Swiss have a WHITE cross (on a red bg).
