Great Photography.

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

In an effort to re-inspire myself photographically, I’ve started checking out some related blogs and sites. One site pointed me to photographer Sandra Freeman, whose collection of simple flower photos is just amazing. Apparently created using nothing more than a window and black cloth or foam core board. Great stuff. Inspiring indeed.

Musicplasma

Friday, November 19th, 2004

A friend of mine pointed me at this site a while back, and then again recently when I was looking for music to listen to. They appear to get most of their data from amazon, but I’m not sure. Basically, you can pop in a band of your choice, and it will provide a flowchart deal to other groups that match that genre. Its a pretty cool way of finding new music to listen, especially when your local radio station will almost certainly fail to entertain you from one hour to the next.

Tinyurl again.

Friday, October 22nd, 2004

I’ve spoken about Tinyurl in the past, but here’s something someone tried at my office. Take a typical Tinyurl URL, and throw your name (or some other word) in for a “random” string. There are some good ones, like the following, supposedly random URLs:

Colour WW1 photos

Friday, October 15th, 2004

These are some of the best photos I’ve ever seen. They’re colour photos from WW1 of French Troops and some surrounding areas. The quality is amazing.

No shipping for Canadians.

Friday, October 8th, 2004

This cracks me up. Normally, I get annoyed because shipping is always so damn much to Canada, but this jack ass doesn’t ship to Canada at all because Canada harbors draft dodgers. It makes me wonder if this item comes with a box of shells for my handgun too. Moron.

Goatse at Defcon — brought to you by airpwn

Friday, August 6th, 2004

This has to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. All kidding aside, this could be used in so many horrible ways that I’m tempted to just send my access points to the crushers to disposal. To be able to essentially replace data in stream from anywhere within range of the wireless network? Crazy. I think this needs to be combined with another cool project that came out of Defcon, The Sniper Yagi.

WARNING: Don’t click on any of the movies or pictures. You’ll be very sorry.

This here because I wanted to remember it, and it might prove useful for people that stumble on it for some reason.
